Giant Steps is a multi-disciplinary therapy centre that builds the skills and abilities of children with autism through specialized, evidence-based therapies and life skills programming

ELIGIBILITY FOR GIANT STEPS PROGRAMS

Giant Steps serves children who have a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Full and half day programs are available for children 3 – 10 years of age.

Individual therapy sessions are also available for speech, behaviour and/or occupational therapies, for children 18 months – 14 years of age.

THE ROLE OF FAMILIES

Families are active participants in the development of their child’s therapy plans, in program planning meetings, parent training days and teaching seminars, meetings with their child’s team, and Giant Steps parent meetings.

Families are committed to carrying out therapeutic strategies and program plans at home and in community settings.

For the full and half day program, families pay annual fees and participate in fundraising events and activities.

Individual therapy sessions are on a fee-for-service basis.
