Make a difference for kids with autism on this special day of giving

Giving Tuesday is December 3, a day when Canadians make a difference for those we care about by donating to our favourite charities. Please make Giant Steps one of yours!

At Giant Steps, we’re working hard to make a difference for children with autism. Kids with autism desperately need personalized therapy and life skills programs to learn to speak or communicate via technology, read, play and socialize with others, care for themselves and navigate the unique challenges of living with autism.

It’s no wonder then that parents love Giant Steps’ “one-stop shop” of occupational, speech and behaviour therapies in one coordinated program. As one parent declared, “I wish I had found Giant Steps sooner!”

Thank you for giving! Your donations will help ensure that our kids continue to receive our life-changing programs.

Bingo volunteers needed!

Charitable gaming at Bingo World provides Giant Steps with critical funding for our kids’ therapy programs, thanks to our volunteers who are essential to this charitable initiative.

We are looking for volunteers 18 years of age and older to work at Bingo World Richmond Hill. THIS IS AN ONGOING OPPORTUNITY.

Volunteers work in pairs and represent Giant Steps in the gaming centre. Orientation is required and provided for this easy customer service role which involves standing and walking around the centre throughout your 2.5 hour shift. Shifts would be every 1-2 months.

Kids’ Martial Arts Tournament

A HUGE SHOUT-OUT to Tony Isaacs, Daniel Moroney and everyone of Gracie Humaita Woodbridge, who invited Giant Steps to their annual Kids Jiu-Jitsu Festival on Saturday June 8.

We are grateful that this community event benefits Giant Steps’ therapy programs and the kids with autism we serve.

We can’t forget all our volunteers who graciously donated their time, energy and cheer to help out.

Our heartfelt thanks for making such a difference for kids with autism this year!

April was World Autism Month

A global effort to increase understanding & acceptance of people with autism

During World Autism Month, we were grateful for our donors and friends who ensured that Giant Steps’ life-changing programs are here for children with autism.

At Giant Steps, our kids are busily engaged in their therapy and life skill programs and we’re proud of their progress. They’re gaining new skills and abilities thanks to our team, their families’ commitment and your support.

Let’s be mindful of what we can do everyday to make a difference for others …. practise respect, kindness and inclusion, especially to autistic persons and their families.

Thanks to our donors who made a donation during World Autism Month; it’s not too late to make a donation now!
